Parkside is pleased to announce that it has recently achieved the ‘QiSS’ accreditation at ‘established level’. ‘Quality in Study Support’ is a national recognition for schools which allows schools to self-evaluate the work they are doing around study support and allow reflective practice in order to improve their offer to students.
Study support is about learning activities outside of normal lessons which students take part in voluntarily. Activities can include field trips, booster sessions, breakfast clubs and after school sports activities.
Linda Davies, Headteacher said, ‘I am very pleased with the award which highlights the work we already do in offering our students a varied menu of study support activities to enhance their learning and improve confidence and self-esteem’. |
